Job Descriptions for the 2019 Season
Landscape Team Member
We are looking to add to our landscape installation crew. Candidates should have some experience landscaping or in a similar field, but most importantly a willingness to learn. The right candidate should be able to lift 50lbs and be willing to do manual labor rain or shine. Knowledge with perennials and shrubs is a plus. Familiarity with motorized equipment such as chainsaws and hedge trimmers is preferred, but not required. This seasonal position runs from March-November/December (depending on weather). Work hours are 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required during the busy season. The pay for this position will be negotiated based on experience. Retail Customer Service Associate
We are currently looking to hire happy people to work during the gardening season in our retail store. Full time and part time hours are available, and one weekend day is required. The season runs March through December. We are looking for positive, energetic, creative people with a good work ethic and who enjoy customers and hard work. We want people who have an interest in plants, and want to garden 100% organically. A knowledge of perennials, annuals, shrubs and organic gardening methods are a plus, but not required. We are ready to train the right person.
Associates will be involved in all aspects of our daily duties which include: Selling and loading customer vehicles with plants, mulch, soil and fertilizer, unloading plant truck deliveries, tagging and displaying plants, watering and tending plants, ringing a computerized cash register and basically anything else needed during the course of the day.
