A Weekend Long Small Business Celebration

A Weekend Long Small Business Celebration

Saturday, Nov. 29th

If the mere thought of holiday shopping sends you into total stress mode, I invite you to visit Natureworks and see what a pleasure it can be to shop again. Last week I told you all about our Green Friday celebration, the day after Thanksgiving.

The following day isSmall Business Saturday, a movement started by American Express. We joined in with that genius idea the minute we heard about it. At Natureworks, we serve free organic coffee and locally made, yummy donuts and celebrate all things local.

New this year, you can shop in up to THREE small businesses. Each time, if you spend $10 or more, you will get a $10 statement credit for each qualifying transaction. You need to register your card first and there is a limit to how many cards can register.Click here to go to the

AmEx page to enroll. You can register your American Express cardtoday, then plan a shopping spree at Natureworks and a couple of other wonderful, locally owned small businesses. Learn all about it atShopSmall.com

The Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend also has a new identity: Chocolate Sunday. It’s a simple concept: we all bake chocolate goodies and serve them to you when you shop.

As you can probably guess, we are repeating this three day weekend lineup in 2014.  This year on Green Friday Santa Claus will be here for a visit from 10:30 a.m. till 3:00 pm! This is a great opportunity to bring your young children to a cozy place and take those beloved Christmas card photos.
